About the Proteus systems

The Proteus® System is a lead displacement and water enrichment device.

By actively and passively delivering our special form of dietary magnesium, not only does the system neutralize lead, it also provides a fine coating inside your pipes that prevents corrosion, rust, electrolytic degeneration and the resulting precipitation of beneficial dietary magnesium in water from the tap, a commonly deficient dietary mineral.

The replaceable magnesium sacrificial anode concept has had an established history as an electrolysis inhibitor. This method is used to protect ship hulls and bridges. Magnesium plates can be placed at intervals along a buried length of iron pipe, resulting in effective protection from corrosion.Your plants will thrive, your pipes will stop corroding, and your children will perform better as the effects and risks of mental and physical illnesses associated with lead are eliminated. In fact, many prefer the taste of not only the water that has been treated, but also the beverages and foods that are made from that water.Owners are legally responsible for health hazards from toxins transferred by their water pipes. Typical installations are made where municipal water systems enter the building site. Proteus® systems can be designed for any flow-rate up to 12-inch diameter pipes & can operate on pressure up to 250 pounds per square inch (psi).

The units may be installed & serviced by an in-house maintenance person or by the manufacturer at a substantially lower cost than for a piping system replacement. In most cases, this is the most cost effective lead-abatement option.
